Double photo frame.....I fell in love with some of Hobby Lobby's chunky picture frames. I decided to try making one. From I purchased two thrift store frames for $2.50. The back frame is a square 5x7 and the front a 5x7 oval. I used wood glue and clamped them together to dry. Then I painted the picture frame Green. After it dried I lightly brushed a Light Blue coat. Next I lightly sanded the edges. For the final finish I used mahogany wood stain with an old rag to antique the frame. I slowly added the stain and wiped it off quickly in the areas until I got the desired finish I wanted.

Bush trimmings into a wreath

 I really love these green wreaths.....I have wanted one for a while. But I am cheap on buying wreaths since I have made so many now. My husband was trimming our bushes this fall and I saw all of these beautiful leaves as I was cleaning up the yard and decided to try some projects. I made a wreath and some decorative balls. I also didn't want to buy any forms. So I used what I had on hand.

for my ball shape I used plastic grocery store bags and formed them into a ball. I used a little tape to keep it's shape. Next I wrapped green tissue paper around the ball just in case any leaves didn't cover all of the ball. Using a hot glue gun I glue on my clippings into a cute and little hairy ball.

I used a left over case lot box for my wreath form. Next, a plate and marker to draw the shape. Then I hot glued some of the packaging for the filling, tissue paper, and greenery.

I have wanted to try scrap material tea towels for a while. I used left over 1/4 yrd. pieces from a project. Looking at my dish towels I looked at the size I wanted my finished towel to be. I turned my cloth inside out and sewing the edges and left an opening to turn the towel ride side out. I sewed the seam shut. Next I added some my other cloth making sure no unfinished edges were left out. Including the lace edges. Last I hemmed and added a ruffle to the bottom. They were perfect gifts!

This is in our girls room.

 Using egg foam balls. I hot glued white yarn
around and around the egg. I really didn't have to use a lot of hot glue just little dabs. The most important thing was to keep the yarn tight as I rolled the string onto the foam egg.
