Joy Christmas Banner

This Christmas I was in charge of our Churches Relief Society Craft. I decided to make a Joy Banner. Hobby lobby has really cute polka dot wired ribbon. I Cut three six in pieces, then folded them in half to cut the triangle slit on the bottom. Next I used red acrylic paint, hobby lobby stencil letters, and a stencil sponge to stencil on each letter. I used medium sized clothes line clips that I stained light brown. It is attached to Hemp string found in Hobby Lobby's bead section  

Pipe cleaner and bead love sign. Today two of my kids help me make a Valentine love sign. 

We pulled out of our craft box pipe cleaners and red beads. 

I measured out five pipe cleaners and tied them together to get the length I wanted for my sign.

We first put on the beads, and then tied them together to make the cursive letters

With our leftover beads and pipe cleaners we made bead hearts for our love trees.

A touch of crows. Dollar store crows added among the pumpkins for Halloween.

Girl Dresser Remodel.

I primed the dresser white. The outside of dresser I used a home depot paint called White Pegasus. The drawers are paint a light purple. I then used white to stencil on a small diamond pattern. The handles I painted with silver paint that I had on hand. From Lowe's I bought four legs for $12. My husband helped me drill and attach the legs to the bottom of the dresser.  

Picture frame layers. Two frames. Two paint colors.  A little wood glue. Your favorite pictures!

I bought four Frames from a thrift store for $2.50. My top frame square was made of glass and broke  from a flying ball. The finished picture frame is wooden from Micheal's craft store. With a 40% off coupon was $1.50. In my house I need wood or metal things with small active children. ;-)

Dresser Remodel. $15 thrift store dresser. Paint, and stain on hand. First coat of paint was a white primer. Second coat was a light tan. Then I marked around my cut out numbers, and painted them black. I next distressed the dresser with a light sand paper. The final touch was with a redwood stain in places to give the dresser a rustic western look.
